Celebrate the Fourth of July in downtown Toledo

Downtown will glow with the rockets red glare! The City of Toledo Fireworks in the 419 is on this year for Saturday, July 2 and we’ve made a guide to help you navigate all the activities planned. Stop by your favorite downtown spot, get a drink in a DORA cup and explore.

Friday, July 1

Wine Down Friday

Kick off your July 4th weekend by making your own candle at Callisto Terra’s Wine Down Friday. Get all the details here.

Party in Growler Park

Enjoy an evening of live music and craft beer at Maumee Bay Brewing’s Growler Park. Music from Amelia Airharts begins at 6:00pm.

Killer Queen

Hear all your favorite Queen hits in Promenade Park when Killer Queen takes the stage during the ProMedica Live Summer Concert Series. Get tickets here.

Friday Night Family Cruise

Enjoy a catered pizza dinner with the family aboard J&M Cruise Lines' Sandpiper Boat for their weekly Friday Night Family Cruise. This 2-hour cruise will take you up the Maumee River and give you spectacular views of wildlife, downtown Toledo and some of the beautiful homes along the river. Book here.

Mud Hens vs. Louisville Bats

It’s Military Appreciation Night at Fifth Third Field. Catch a Mud Hens game and thank those who have served. Get tickets here.

Hensville Live

Free concert alert! Enjoy music from Noisy Neighbors in Hensville Park at the conclusion of the Mud Hens game. This concert is free and open to the public.


Saturday, July 2

Toledo Farmers' Market

Pick up your BBQ essentials from the Toledo Farmers’ Market while supporting local. Farmers’ Market hours: Saturday from 8:00am-2:00pm.

J&M Cruise Lines

There are plenty of opportunities to get on the water today with J&M Cruise Lines. Their first cruise of the day is the Discover the River Cruise on the Sandpiper Boat. Then later in the evening they have two Fireworks Cruises – one on the Sandpiper and one on the Glass City Pearl. Hurry and book your cruise today!

Adams Street Block Party

A night of classic summer fun awaits you at the Adams Street Block Party. The event boasts of live music & entertainment, games, food trucks, caricature artists, face painting, a water balloon fight and more. Entry is $5. The Block Party starts at 2:00pm and goes all until bar close.

Mud Hens vs. Louisville Bats

The Hens are home and will have in-game entertainment from the ZOOperstars. Get tickets here.

NMGL Members Only Party

Members of the National Museum of the Great Lakes are invited to watch the big fireworks show from aboard the COL. JAMES M. SCHOONMAKER Museum Ship or on the grounds of our Great Lakes Maritime Park. Not a member? There’s still time to join! Learn more here.

Lucille’s Jazz Lounge | Kim Buehler

A night of jazz could make your Fourth of July weekend perfect. Kim Buehler will be performing at Lucille’s Jazz Lounge. Get tickets here.

Fireworks Watch Party at Maumee Bay Brewing

Brews and booms will be the main draw for Downtown Toledo Fireworks Watch Party at Maumee Bay Brewing Company. Bring a blanket or chair, but please the dogs at home. A beer truck, grill and live music will be in attendance.

Hensville Live

There’s another free concert in Hensville Park! Hear Distant Cousinz play at the conclusion of the Mud Hens game but before the fireworks start.

Fireworks in the 419

The show we’ve all been waiting for – Fireworks in the 419! Bring chairs or a blanket and find your perfect viewing spot along the riverfront at Promenade Park, International Park or Glass City Metropark. The show will begin around 10:00p.


Sunday, July 3

Mud Hens and Fireworks

Want more fireworks? Good News! The Mud Hens Fourth of July fireworks show is tonight. This will be the only fireworks show of the season and will be shot off entirely from the warning track of Fifth Third Field. Buy tickets here.

Sunset Cruise and City Lights

Take in the sights as you cruise along the Maumee River and maybe even catch the fireworks from the Mud Hens game! Book your cruise here.
