Join us for coffee and conversation

As a property owner, business owner, elected official, resident or individual who is passionate about downtown Toledo, you are invited to the Downtown Toledo Improvement District (DTID) open house known as Coffee Connections. These conversations will be held the last Wednesday of the quarter at Rustbelt Coffee between 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. You will have an opportunity to meet with DTID board members, staff from ConnecToledo and fellow neighbors to discuss activities impacting our workers, residents, visitors and investors.

For this month's open house, Matt Rubin of Crane Development will be in attendance to discuss the proposed Historic District. Additionally, Chief George Kral and Captain Sue Surgo of the Toledo Police Department will be available for questions and conversations.

Come enjoy a coffee and conversation with us in a socially distant environment.

About DTID

DTID is a special improvement district (SID), which is a designated area where enhanced services are provided. Through this mechanism, property owners decide the level of downtown management services they need and then exert direct control over the delivery of those services. Our service plan includes the following:

  • Public Spaces and Placemaking
    • Deliver services that make the District cleaner, visually appealing and environmentally maintained through the most technologically effective methods available. Cleaning services are delivered by the ambassadors who provide a highly visible street presence throughout the District seven days a week.
  • Supplemental Security and Hospitality
    • Provide services that make the District a safer and friendlier place.
  • Event Management
    • Create a framework that further elevates downtown’s event options for diverse audiences.
  • Business and Residential Development
    • Provide targeted business services that directly benefit DTID members and current and potential businesses and residents.
  • Communications and Marketing
    • Maintain and enhance the image and awareness of downtown to influence and increase its usage as a vibrant hub of regional activity where people invest, shop, play, work, dine and live.
  • Member services
    • Furnish services and information management designed to increase appreciation for the downtown, strengthen the cohesiveness of the District, and improve communication among members of the District, governmental agencies, and other key stakeholders.

Coffee Connections will be held at Rustbelt Coffee at 119 N. Ontario St., from 7:30 a.m. -9:00 a.m. on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, April 28
  • Wednesday, July 28
  • Wednesday, December 1
