The Fourth of July is almost here, and downtown Toledo can’t wait to celebrate! The festivities start early and go long, which is great since we love celebrating Independence Day! Take a look below to plan your perfect Fourth of July celebration!

It’s coming! Rock the River is taking over the Maumee River Friday, June 28 – Saturday, June 29. Rock the River is Formula One powerboat racing with boats reaching speeds of 120 mph. The F1 powerboats will race on the Maumee River in between the MLK Bridge and the Owens Corning building at the mouth of Swan Creek.

Calling all boaters! This year J&M Cruise Lines will be managing the docks along the west and east sides of the downtown riverfront. Trained dock hands will help you tie off and place your boat. They will provide this service on the west side for the ProMedica Summer Concerts on Friday nights in Promenade Park, 4th of July, and special events. Dock reservations are available at “The Docks Restaurants” from Thursday through Sunday.

Lunch at Levis, the popular daytime concert series, returns for its 16th season. The 16-week series kicks-off on June 6th and runs every Thursday until September 26th from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Live entertainment, food trucks, games and other activities are highlights of the biggest event during the work week.  Located in Levis Square Park, at the corner of St. Clair Street a ...

Opening Day has turned into downtown’s most celebrated day of the year. Up to 30,000 people will fill downtown to celebrate a new season of the nation’s most famous minor-league sports team, the Toledo Mud Hens. Dan Ditty is celebrating being a downtown Toledo ambassador for 10 years.  Dan is a downtown favorite amongst our workers, residents and visitors.  Always smiling and willing to help, we appreciate for his service and gregarious attitude.

Downtown Toledo has plenty of options to watch March Madness.   We want to add to the fun by hosting a “Downtown Toledo” group on the ESPN app.  The top winner will receive a $150 gift certificate to either the Blarney, Table Forty-4, Jed’s, or the Paula Brown Shop.  Your choice!

We know the date well. March 17 will be here in just a few short days, but that doesn’t mean the St. Patrick’s Day fun has to wait until then! Downtown Toledo is the best place to be for all the paddy magic. With so many options for a weekend of great craic, we complied a list so you can enjoy all that downtown has to offer!

The riverfront will be rocking again this summer! The ProMedica Summer Concert Series lineup has been announced for June through September.

DORA is temporarily expanding to include Promenade Park for the entirety of ProMedica’s Fire + Ice Festival.  Festival goers can purchase beverages from participating downtown establishments and take their drinks across Summit Street to Promenade Park in the designated DORA cups. Promenade Park runs along the riverfront from Jefferson Street to Cherry Street.
